  • Performance Solution Reports
Is your design a square peg that won’t fit the round hole (prescriptive requirements) that are the Deemed-to-Satisfy (DtS) requirements under the Building Code of Australia (BCA)? Then it might be time to talk to CCG about a Performance Solution. A Performance Solution is an alternative to the DtS requirements of the BCA. A Performance Solution Report is a document that details how a design (which doesn’t comply with the DtS requirements) still complies with overarching Performance Requirements of the BCA. Performance Solutions provide design and building practitioners with the ability to incorporate flexible, innovate and often more cost effective design solutions with the assurance of knowing it still complies with the BCA. CCG’s knowledge, and experience of the BCA coupled with our focus on the outcomes that the building is required to deliver (in order to satisfy the Performance Requirements), rather than the prescriptive (DtS) requirements, ensures we are able to tailor Performance Solution Reports to: Suit the proposed building use Align with the needs and requirements of the building occupants; and Satisfy the Performance Requirements of the BCA With a reputation for in-depth assessment and detailed Performance Solution Reports, we are proud of our approval rate (100% of Performance Solution Reports prepared by CCG have been approved) and confident that we can assist you. Key Performance Solution services include: Preparation of Performance Solutions addressing: Safe movement (stair construction etc.) Accessibility (access to building parts) Health and amenity(reduced room height, omission of natural light and the like) Review of Performance Solutions relating to: Fire Engineering Accessibility Health & Amenity Energy Efficiency
  • Existing Building Compliance Audits
Our highly qualified team is dedicated to providing our clients with helpful advice to ensure the appropriate levels of Fire and Life Safety are available in any building. We can help our clients reach this level of Fire and Life Safety by: Identifying or reporting upon selected building stock. Attending site and undertaking a detailed inspection of the existing building in order to establish familiarisation of the building. Ascertaining existing levels of public health and safety through review of available documentation, including architectural plans, Annual Fire Safety Statements etc., in order to establish familiarisation of the existing building and determine the level of compliance with the fire & life safety provisions of the National Construction Code of Australia (BCA), namely Sections A, C, D, E, F and G. Attendance at meetings to discuss compliance issues where required. Preparing a Building Regulatory, BCA and Fire Safety Audit Report for each selected building for review by the client. The report will set out the buildings BCA characteristics and include a Scope of Works and Recommendations in order to provide the premises with adequate means of fire safety to prevent fire, suppress fire, prevent the spread of fire and ensure or promote the safety of persons in the event of fire as requested via the applicant or in response to a Council request.
